A couple of weekends ago my Mother-in-Law and I threw a shower here at Elevated Studios for a great family friend named Stefany. It was an unconventional space for a wedding shower, but it was also a lot of fun! I even incorporated a little letterpress demonstration using the wooden type!

The wooden type all locked-up.

Elevated Press is now in possession of three complete drawers of large wooden type! These babies are getting harder and harder to come by, so this was a huge score for me...
Expect some new prints in the coming months, and hopefully some workshops as well!

Elevated Press has a new Mother's Day Poppy card available on our Etsy site. Your Mom will love the bright and cheery Poppy and the message applies all year long, not just on Mom's Day!

We are very excited to announce that Pot & Box floral studio is now carrying a selection of Elevated Press letterpress cards! Pot & Box is Ann Arbor's most unique floral studio and an all-around amazing place. In the studio, you find yourself immersed in a magical world of artfully-displayed fantastic things that Lisa, Pot & Box's founder, has to offer, like: gardening supplies, terrariums, a fantastic array of pots & boxes, and flowers of course! She even has a gorgeous room available to rent for events.
Really, I can't say enough wonderful things about Pot & Box. Stop on in at 220 Felch St. in Ann Arbor, and check it out for yourself!

When I'm on a busy printing schedule, I start to notice a recurring phenomenon... tired legs and sore feet. Now I'm really sounding old!
Ever since we moved into our current studio space with concrete floors, I have been dreaming of getting these anti-fatigue, chef's gel mats to place in front of the presses. I've stood on them at a relatives house and it feels like walking on a cloud. The only downfall is that the major brand of these starts at 100 bucks, a little steep considering I'd like to get about 3 of these.
Does anyone know of a comparable product that's a bit cheaper? I'd love to know if that exists!
